Logical Minds sponsors Harrogate charity golf day

Leeds-based on-demand project process solutions specialist, Logical Minds, is helping Henshaws College to tee off in another round of fundraising this June by sponsoring its golf day.Held at Pannal Golf Club on 21st June, the golf day will help Henshaws College raise more funds to improve the provision of specialist Further Education to young blind and visually impaired people, who have additional learning difficulties or physical disabilities.

All funds raised will go towards its £7.5 million Living Life campaign, which will provide a range of accommodation that will allow more students to attend the college who are wheelchair users or have severe mobility problems or complex needs.

The Yorkshire charity has already raised more than £5.3 million towards its £7.5 million target and hopes to raise further essential funds through its ongoing events programme.

Logical Minds’ Managing Director, David Weaver says: “We are pleased to be sponsoring this important event for Henshaws College, which is raising money for such a worthwhile cause in Yorkshire. The 3-year training at Henshaws helps a lot of 16 to 23 year olds achieve independence and self-sufficiency, as well as to improve their self-confidence and communication skills.”

The Yorkshire charity is hoping to attract 30 teams from local businesses and organisations to join the golf day. Any combination of male and female golfers can make up a team of four costing only £300.

The action begins at 1pm with a shotgun start for all teams, with representatives from the English Blind Golf Association joining in the tournament. The day will conclude with a three course dinner for all guests and an awards presentation for the winners.

David says: "It will be a great day for a really worthwhile cause. With Logical Minds I have been fortunate enough to help local businesses like Hamilton Racecourse and JCT600 to increase their profits through our project process solutions. It’s good to contribute to the Yorkshire business community in this way, but it’s even better to contribute to the local community by helping a Yorkshire charity such as Henshaws College to increase their funds for such a worthwhile cause."
