When Disaster Is Far From Unthinkable

In our current world of terrorist attacks and sophisticated computer viruses, it is all too easy to keep looking to the outside world for possible threats to your organisation.  In many companies some vital process knowledge can be held by a few key personnel.  This is a much more likely threat due to absence, resignation or even death, which can have a devastating impact on business continuity.

The very phrase ‘key person’ automatically brings to mind the idea of ‘insurance’, but whilst insurance will help you cover the costs of losing key people, only the correct process solutions can ensure that a problem such as above does not equate to loss of business.

A simple and logical on-demand process solution will not only ensure knowledge transfer and task adoption within the existing team, but will also allow new and promoted staff to get to grips with processes with little or no training.

Whatever your risks may be i.e. losing contact knowledge, technical processes, project understanding, the business and its process should be simple enough and easy to understand, allowing the existing resources to expand until absent employees have returned or unfortunately been replaced.
